What We Do
Grand Door Company is a custom door manufacturer located in Bryan/College Station, TX. We produce only the highest quality handcrafted doors and door units. We use the finest imported and domestic hardwoods, provide practically limitless glass and wrought iron options, and employ the finest and most durable construction techniques. Attention to detail comes naturally and our love of wood and woodworking is reflected in every door we build.
Due to the custom nature of our shop the designs you see on this site are only a small sampling of the possibilities that we are able to create. Working from your sketches, photographs, or architectural drawings, we bring your dreams to life.
Our services include design, construction, and installation. Alone or in conjunction with your architect, designer, or builder, we can take your project from concept to completion. Our History
Steve Lightfoot came to Bryan/College Station, Texas 34 years ago to attend Texas A & M University. Like many students he fell in love with the area and settled here after graduation. In the year 2000, he took a leap of faith by pursuing his love of woodworking as a career instead of just enjoying it in his spare time. (Plus, he could no longer fit all of his tools into his garage!) It only took a short time to realize that his talents lay in custom door design and manufacturing and Grand Door Company was born.
Steve is joined in the day-to-day operations of the company by his wife of almost 32 years, Kimberly. She oversees all aspects of the company's bookkeeping and human resources as well as their marketing and advertising. When not at work, the couple enjoys traveling and spending time with their growing family.
